Description was written before the event
Mehmet Polat Quartet performs on Thursday, 24 September 2026 at Lab Grounds on 's-Gravendijkwal in Rotterdam. The oud player brings his quartet to this intimate venue, where jazz and world music converge. The ensemble blends influences from Eastern Europe, Asia, the Balkans and Mediterranean traditions, with bass and drums forming the rhythmic foundation while oud and piano engage in melodic dialogue.
