Ud player and composer Mehmet Polat presents his latest project: the Mehmet Polat Quartet, bringing together three musicians from the jazz and world music scene.

The quartet combines jazz with influences from East European, Asian, Balkan and Mediterranean traditions. Bass and drums form the rhythmic foundation, while ud and piano engage in melodic dialogue. The compositions are contemplative, emotionally rich and rhythmically complex.
