Glodi Lugungu & Puck van Tussenbroek

Glodi Lugungu arrived in the Netherlands as a toddler with his family as a political refugee from Congo and grew up in Dommelen in a Christian Congolese family of nine children. He was raised as a footballer and made the selection team, but soon discovered he had more success making jokes in the locker room than on the pitch. After studying architecture, he made the transition to the stage. Following a successful audition, he became an apprentice member of Toomler/Comedytrain; in 2018 he became a regular comedian and quickly gained recognition for his comedy talent.

Puck van Tussenbroek is a musical theatre maker with a background in sociology. With her production Dromen Duiden - about Gen Z, work and meaning, feminism, ideals and disappointments - she reached the semi-finals of the AKF this year. She brings sociological cabaret with a personal touch: her idealism, dreams, social critique and disappointments take shape in songs and poetically layered texts. In doing so, she explores the thin line between humour and pain, personal and political, vulnerable and powerful.
