Blues absorbs everything: Arabic influences, African rhythms, pop and rock songs, Celtic or Dutch folk. Perhaps the authenticity of blues lies precisely in its ability to embrace diverse emotions.

Mister Moan performs with voice and guitar alone. Mississippi blues, Hill Country blues, influences from artists like Johnny Shines and J.B. Lenoir, blues shouters - and in between his own voice. But whatever is in there: it must be immediately recognizable as blues.
