KANAAN (Norway)

The Norwegian power trio Kanaan plays psychedelic instrumental rock built on heavy riffs and thick grooves. The spirit of Hawkwind in the Lemmy era runs through their music, alongside influences from CAN, Ash Ra Tempel and Jimi Hendrix. Soft, melodic passages alternate with surprising turns - and throughout, the band demonstrates masterful musicianship that seamlessly weaves together kraut, fuzz, jazz and psychedelia.

In October this year, Kanaan releases their tenth album, simply titled 'Kanaan' - a milestone that coincides with their ten-year anniversary. Live, the three Norwegians have more than proven they are just as strong on stage as they are in the studio.
