SKAMPIDA (Col) + I'm With Stupid

SKAMPIDA from Colombia brings a mix of folkloric rhythms and urban sounds: ska, punk, reggae, klezmer, polka, rockabilly, powercore, hip-hop, gypsy influences and drum 'n' bass. The band's goal is simple - to throw a FIESTA, and they've been succeeding for years. In Utrecht they've already proven themselves: previous shows at a sold-out ACU, on the terrace at Nijverheid and at dB's itself each left audiences completely swept up. It's no wonder Skampida is considered one of the most popular bands from Colombia.

The band has been touring the world since 2005, playing around 1000 concerts in Latin America and roughly 500 in the US, Canada and Europe. On stage they've shared the bill with The Skatalites, Manu Chao, Gogol Bordello, Molotov, King Chango, Alicia Keys, Ska-P, Uriah Heep and Skindread.

Opener is Utrecht's I'm With Stupid, with uptempo party ska mixed with reggae. Their latest release Loop Naar De Hel is a preview of their upcoming Dutch-language album.
