About: Deep Forest

The French project Deep Forest, the brainchild of Éric Mouquet and Michel Sanchez, laid the groundwork for ethnic electronica in the 1990s by pairing tribal chants and field recordings with electronic production. Their Grammy-winning album 'Bohème' (1995) made them the first French artists to claim that award, and Mouquet continues to tour the world under the Deep Forest name to this day.
