About
Wrest are a Scottish indie rock band formed in 2017 and based in Edinburgh. The four-piece - vocalist/guitarist Stewart Douglas, guitarist Stephen Whipp, bassist Craig Robertson and drummer Jonny Tait - make layered guitar rock with poetic lyrics that draws comparisons to Frightened Rabbit, The National and Idlewild. Entirely self-managed and unsigned, they run their own promotions company and have built a loyal international following across three studio albums and sold-out venues up to 2,200 capacity.
