U2 are an Irish rock band from Dublin, formed in 1976 by Bono (vocals), The Edge (guitar), Adam Clayton (bass) and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums). Albums such as The Joshua Tree (1987) and Achtung Baby (1991) established them as one of the biggest rock acts in the world. The band holds the record for most Grammy wins by a group - 22 in total - and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. In 2023-2024 they became the first act to perform at the new Sphere venue in Las Vegas.
