Typhoon is the stage name of Glenn de Randamie (born 6 August 1984 in 't Harde, Gelderland), a Dutch rapper and singer of Surinamese descent. His 2014 platinum album 'Lobi Da Basi' earned him three Edison Awards and established him as one of the Netherlands' most sought-after live acts. Blending hip-hop with soul and jazz, he is known for poetic, deeply personal lyrics on identity, heritage and faith. His third solo album 'Lichthuis' followed in 2020, and in 2025 he published his debut memoir 'Liefde is de baas'.
