The Kilkennys are an Irish folk and ballad band from Kilkenny, founded in 1998 by schoolmates Davey Cashin and Tommy Mackey at St Kieran's College. They started out as Uisce Beatha before renaming themselves in 2008 to make the band easier for international audiences to find. Widely regarded as heirs to The Dubliners and The Clancy Brothers, they have built a loyal following across Europe and North America through relentless touring.
