🎸 The Coo

About

The Coo is an international folk duo formed by songwriters Matt Arthur, based in London, and Jara Holdert, based in Amsterdam, who met by chance at an Amsterdam open mic. Their debut album *Amsterdam Moon* (2019) was recorded live in an Amsterdam synagogue and named album of the year by label NativeDSD. Their sound draws on 1960s and 70s folk and pop, with two guitars and two voices that sometimes blend seamlessly and sometimes push against each other.
