The Cassandra Complex are a British post-punk and industrial band formed in Leeds in 1984 by Rodney Orpheus, Paul Dillon, and Andy Booth. Their sound - electronic beats, distorted guitars, and politically charged lyrics - has been described as a collision of Joy Division, the Ramones, and Kraftwerk. Classics such as Theomania and Cyberpunx earned them a lasting place in the European gothic and EBM scene, and after a lengthy hiatus they returned in 2022 with The Plague, which went straight to the top of the German Alternative Charts.
The Cassandra Complex announced their new album Generating Station Complex, which will be released on October 30, 2026 via COP International on digital, CD and 180g vinyl (edition of 700 copies).
Simultaneously with the album release, the European autumn tour starts, which runs through Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Croatia and the Czech Republic and ends on November 21 at the Plage Noire Festival.
The band released the single "Nazi Goths Fuck Off", a cover of the song of the same name by Finnish gothic artist Suzi Sabotage from 2021.
Death & Sex, a re-recording of the album Sex & Death from 1993, was released in March 2024 and immediately reached number 1 position in the German Alternative Charts.
The Plague, the first studio album in 22 years, was released on May 6, 2022 and spent 8 weeks at number 1 in the German Alternative Charts.
