Sylvia Hoeks (born 1983 in Maarheeze, Netherlands) trained at the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts after an early career as an Elite Models model. She won a Golden Calf for Best Supporting Actress for her debut in Jos Stelling's Duska (2007) and broke through internationally as the replicant Luv in Blade Runner 2049 (Denis Villeneuve, 2017). She has since built a busy Hollywood career, including three seasons of Apple TV+'s See and a role in Netflix's spy thriller Black Doves.
Hurricanna, the biographical film in which Hoeks plays Anna Nicole Smith, was acquired by Magenta Light Studios for distribution in the US and Canada, with a theatrical release on November 13, 2026.
Netflix confirmed that Black Doves season 2, in which Hoeks plays the role of Katia Chernov, will premiere on November 5, 2026.
Hoeks joined the cast of Lords of War in November 2025, the sequel to Lord of War (2005) by director Andrew Niccol, opposite Nicolas Cage and Bill Skarsgård; filming began that same month in Belgium.
Hoeks was announced as a new cast member for Black Doves season 2, alongside Neve Campbell and Sam Riley.
