Syb van der Ploeg (born 15 June 1966 in Dokkum) is a Dutch singer, songwriter and lyricist, best known as the frontman of the Frisian band De Kast. The group's 1997 single 'In nije dei' - the first Frisian-language song to become a nationwide hit in the Netherlands - made him a household name. Alongside De Kast, he has built a parallel career as a solo performer and theatre maker, and since late 2025 he has also taken on the role of lead vocalist for the legendary Dutch rock band The Scene.
The Scene announced in November 2025 that they would return in 2026 with a reunion tour ('The Time Is Now'), with Syb van der Ploeg as the new singer.
