Sven Väth (Frankfurt, 26 October 1964) is one of the most influential figures in electronic music, with a DJ career stretching back to 1982. He first gained wider recognition as part of the dance act OFF before turning his focus to techno and trance, founding the Cocoon umbrella - label, booking agency and event brand - and running a legendary Monday-night residency at Amnesia Ibiza that shaped the island's clubbing identity for nearly two decades. His 1992 debut album 'Accident in Paradise' was ranked by Mixmag among the fifty greatest dance albums of all time.
