Scott Thunes is an American bassist who played with Frank Zappa from 1981 to 1988, becoming one of the most trusted figures in Zappa's band. Known for his technical command and idiosyncratic style, he went on to perform with Banned From Utopia, the supergroup of former Zappa musicians formed after Zappa's death in 1993.
