Saul Williams (Newburgh, New York, 1972) is an American poet, musician and actor who weaves spoken word, hip-hop, jazz and rock into a singular, politically charged voice. He first came to wide attention with his lead role in the Cannes Caméra d'Or-winning film Slam (1998), and his 2007 collaboration with Trent Reznor on The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust! brought him a global audience. His seventh solo album, Leap Life, was released via Big Dada in August 2026, featuring Kamasi Washington, Moor Mother and Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack.
