Racoon is a Dutch pop-rock band from Goes, Zeeland, formed in 1997 by singer Bart van der Weide and guitarist Dennis Huige. Their 2005 breakthrough single 'Love You More' reached number three on the Dutch Top 40, and the band has since landed four number-one albums on the Dutch Albums Chart, won the Popprijs and collected three Edison awards. They move freely between English and Dutch - from 'Oceaan' and 'Het is al laat toch' to their 2024 English-language comeback album 'It Is What It Is'.
The single 'Bring Me My Horse' from the album 'It Is What It Is' was named NPO Radio 2 TopSong in March 2025.
The spring tour 2025 through Groningen, Rotterdam, Den Bosch and Amsterdam was completely sold out.
Racoon released the album 'It Is What It Is' on 4 October 2024 via Sony - their first fully English-language album since 'Another Day' in 2005.
The singles 'The Ones We Seek' and 'Nickel for Goodbye' from the new album were both named NPO Radio 2 TopSong.
Racoon announced a club tour for autumn 2024, followed by a major venue tour in spring 2025.
