Konvooi | Orkater
Orkater presents the theatre production 'Konvooi' at Natlab in Eindhoven.
Orkater is an Amsterdam-based music theatre company with more than fifty years of history, producing original, newly written and composed shows in which music and text carry equal weight. The company grew out of Hauser Orkater, the groundbreaking collective founded by Dick Hauser and others in 1972, whose blend of live rock, absurdist theatre and visual spectacle quickly set a new standard in the Netherlands. Alongside its main productions, Orkater runs De Nieuwkomers (launched in 2006), a talent development programme that gives emerging makers the platform to create their first professional music theatre work. Productions tour large and small venues across the country, and appear regularly at summer festivals.
The Nieuwkomers production 'De Grote Ricardo' by Simme Wouters and Jasper Stoop received a review on Theaterkrant (15 March 2026).
Orkaters major production 'Moeder van Europa' was rated 9 by Theaterkrant and widely celebrated in the press.
