Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp (OTPMD) is a Swiss avant-garde ensemble led by double bassist and composer Vincent Bertholet. The fourteen-piece group moves freely between free jazz, afrofunk, postpunk and krautrock, blending strings, brass, guitars and marimbas into a wide-ranging sound. Their sixth album Ventre Unique, released on the Bongo Joe label, draws comparisons to Fela Kuti as much as to minimalist groove.
