Noomi Rapace is a Swedish-Icelandic actress who rose to international prominence as hacker Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish adaptation of Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy (2009). She has since built a wide-ranging career spanning Hollywood blockbusters like Prometheus and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, as well as acclaimed arthouse films such as Lamb (2021). Her physically committed, uncompromising screen presence has made her one of the Nordic region's most versatile actors.
The science fiction thriller Hot Spot, starring Rapace, premiered in the US on August 21, 2026 via Focus Features.
Netflix confirmed that Rapace plays a recurring role in the live-action series Assassin's Creed, which began filming in Rome in March 2026.
Rapace received the Nordic Honorary Dragon Award on January 28, 2026 at the 49th Göteborg Film Festival and dedicated the award to her son Lev.
At the Göteborg Film Festival, Rapace also presented the Nordic premiere of Mother, in which she plays Mother Teresa.
