New Purple Celebration
New Purple Celebration delivers a two-hour Prince tribute show packed with the icon's greatest hits, from Purple Rain to 1999.
New Purple Celebration is a British tribute act built entirely around the music and stage presence of Prince. Formed in London in 2004, the nine-piece band, including a horn section, is fronted by singer-guitarist Jimi Love, who takes on Prince's role on stage. The band performs everything live with no backing tracks or miming, and has toured the UK, Ireland, continental Europe and the United Arab Emirates for more than two decades, with the Netherlands a regular stop on its schedule.
The band announced a 'final tour' and concluded the series of shows after 21 years on the road.
