Mouflon is a doom/death metal band from Arnhem, Netherlands, formed in 2012 by members with roots in bands including Lifelong, Landmine Heart and Dead End. Drawing on old-school death metal in the vein of Entombed, Bolt Thrower and Asphyx, they weave in slow, crushing doom passages. Their debut "Devastations" (2018) and follow-up "Pure Filth" (2022, Raw Skull Recordz) earned solid reviews at home and abroad. The third album "Eros and Thanatos" arrived in July 2026 on Iron Fortress Records, recorded by Ronny Kessels at Overdose Audio and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege in Portland.
On 12 September 2026, Mouflon played a release show at Willemeen (Arnhem) for the album "Eros and Thanatos", together with the reunion show of Stentorian.
The third album "Eros and Thanatos" was released on 3 July 2026 via Iron Fortress Records on CD and digitally; the first single was "The Divine Wind".
In an interview with Deadly Storm Zine, the band confirmed that "Eros and Thanatos" was recorded by Ronny Kessels at Overdose Audio and mastered by Brad Boatright of Audiosiege.
