Mothica is the stage name of American singer-songwriter McKenzie Ellis (born March 12, 1995, in Oklahoma City), who blends dark pop with rock and emo. She broke through in 2020 when a TikTok video featuring her song 'VICES' went viral, propelling her debut album 'Blue Hour' onto the charts. She has since become a fixture in the alternative scene, releasing 'Nocturnal' (2022) and the visual album 'Kissing Death' (2024).
Mothica released the EP 'Somewhere In Between' in 2026, with a heavier sound influenced by bands such as Evanescence and Bring Me The Horizon.
