Mister and Mississippi is a Dutch indie folk-pop band, formed in 2011 as a school project at the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht. The four-piece - Samgar Lemuël Jacobs, Maxime Barlag, Tom Broshuis and Danny van Tiggele - released three albums between 2013 and 2017 and played hundreds of shows at home and abroad, including Lowlands and SXSW. They won an Edison Award and several 3FM Awards before going their separate ways in 2018. A one-off reunion show in 2023 was followed by a full comeback tour in 2026, featuring both catalogue songs and new, previously unreleased material.
In April 2026, the band announced a second series of shows for autumn 2026, with performances in Den Helder, Den Bosch, Haarlem, Amen, Deventer and Rotterdam.
The Favourite Forever Tour started in February 2026 in intimate venues throughout the Netherlands, with the band playing album work as well as unreleased new material.
In October 2025, the band announced their comeback and announced the Favourite Forever Tour for February and March 2026.
In January 2023, the band played a one-off reunion concert at De Helling in Utrecht, their first performance after breaking up in 2018.
