Zero For Three Fest 2026 takes place at Muziekgieterij in Maastricht on 4 September.
Mexican Institute of Sound is the electronic music project of Mexico City-based producer and DJ Camilo Lara, running since 2004. His sound - a sample-heavy blend of cumbia, dub, hip-hop and electronic beats steeped in Mexican popular culture - broke internationally with albums like Méjico Máxico (2006) and Distrito Federal (2021). Beyond MIS, Lara has won a Grammy for the Y tu mamá también soundtrack and an Emmy for Apple TV+'s Home, and contributed music to Pixar's Coco and Grand Theft Auto V.
Mexican Institute of Sound and Meridian Brothers went on tour in July 2026 with their joint album Ruido Tovar, which was released in May 2026 via Ansonia Records.
The collaborative album Ruido Tovar with Meridian Brothers was released on 22 May 2026; the album is inspired by Mexican cumbia legend Rigo Tovar and features contributions from Beck.
Camilo Lara was involved as a music producer for the FIFA World Cup 2026, after which he announced the MIS tour.
Mexican Institute of Sound released the soundtrack for the HBO Max series Cóyotl in 2025 and collaborated on the Amazon series La Liberación.
The retrospective album Algo Ritmo (2024) looked back on twenty years of MIS and was released alongside a headliner performance at the Vive Latino festival in Mexico City.
