About
Marcel Hensema (born 1970 in Winschoten) is a Dutch actor and theatre-maker who trained at the Maastricht Theatre Academy and has since built one of the most varied careers in Dutch performing arts. He has won two Golden Calves - for Wild Romance (2006) and In My Father's Garden (2016) - and is widely known from television series including Hollands Hoop and Penoza. His solo work, notably the Groningen trilogy Mijn Ede, Mijn Tweede en Mijn Vrede, blends character acting, song and personal storytelling with broader social themes.
