Marc Ribot (Newark, 1954) is an American guitarist who has spent more than four decades pushing at the edges of jazz, noise rock and the avant-garde, best known for his long-running work with Tom Waits and John Zorn and for leading the punk-jazz trio Ceramic Dog. Farida Amadou (Liège, 1989) is a self-taught electric bassist and sound artist based in Brussels whose raw, intuitive approach - spanning free jazz, noise and punk - has made her one of the most distinctive voices on the European improvised music scene, with collaborations including Thurston Moore and Peter Brötzmann. Ches Smith is a New York-based drummer, percussionist and composer who weaves together avant-garde jazz, noise rock and Haitian percussion traditions, working both as a Ceramic Dog member and as a bandleader on labels including ECM and Pyroclastic Records.
