About

Madeline Johnston is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer from Colorado, who makes music under the name Midwife. She calls her style "Heaven Metal" - slow, layered songs about grief and devastation. Her recorded work is lush and dense, while her live performances are stripped back and emotionally charged.
