Luciano, the stage name of Swiss-Chilean Lucien Nicolet (born 1978), cut his teeth in the 1990s promoting electronic music events in Santiago de Chile alongside scene pioneers including Ricardo Villalobos. He relocated to Geneva in 2000 and founded Cadenza Music in 2003, a label that helped define the sound of Latin-inflected minimal techno and deep house for two decades. A five-time DJ Award winner, he is a fixture at Ibiza's DC10 and major European festivals, his sets drawing on the rhythmic vocabulary of Latin America.
Cadenza launched in June 2025 the sub-label Cadence Noire, curated by Romanian producer Guy From Downstairs, with the full support of Luciano.
Luciano presents the weekly podcast series 'Luciano presents Cadenza Radio', with a different guest mix from the Cadenza network each week.
Luciano performed in April 2025 at DC10 in Ibiza, one of his regular venues.
During Miami Music Week 2025, Luciano played multiple sets spread over three days.
In March 2025, Luciano also performed in Lima, Peru, as part of his South American tour.
