Lavinia Meijer (born 1983 in South Korea) is a Dutch harpist who was adopted at age two by a family in Gelderland. She graduated cum laude from the Utrecht Conservatory and holds a master's degree from the Amsterdam Conservatory. An exclusive Sony Classical artist, she performs worldwide - from Carnegie Hall to the Berliner Philharmonie - and her Philip Glass transcriptions, made with the composer's blessing, brought the harp to mainstream audiences. She is a recipient of the 2009 Dutch Music Prize and two Edison Awards.
