Kid Francescoli is the project of French producer and multi-instrumentalist Mathieu Hocine, born in Paris and raised in Marseille. The name pays tribute to Uruguayan footballer Enzo Francescoli, a hero of Olympique de Marseille. His 2017 track 'Moon (And It Went Like)' went viral on TikTok and Instagram Reels, surpassing 300 million streams, and was featured in the Netflix series Emily in Paris. Beyond his solo work, he composed the original soundtrack for the film Azuro (2022) and has collaborated with acts including French 79.
Kid Francescoli announced his seventh studio album A Kind Wave, scheduled for October 9, 2026 via All Night Long / Believe France, produced together with Robin Coudert (Rob van Phoenix).
The single 'City of Gold', featuring Nigerian singer Demigod, appeared as the second preview of A Kind Wave.
