Joy Division Undercover is a Dutch tribute band dedicated to the music of British post-punk legends Joy Division. Founded in 2007 under the name 'Closer to Curtis', the band has toured under its current name since 2012, playing venues across Europe and beyond. Singer Erny Green (also of The Eternal and Kaspar Baum) bears an uncanny vocal resemblance to Ian Curtis, with guitarist Henk Koorn of Hallo Venray anchoring the sound. Press and audiences widely regard them as the finest Joy Division tribute act in the world.
Joy Division Undercover plays multiple Dutch club shows in October 2026 as part of the '50 Years of Joy Division 1976-2026' tour, with performances in Tilburg, Rotterdam and Utrecht.
For the fiftieth anniversary of Joy Division, the band does a club tour through Europe to commemorate the band's legacy.
The band played the album Closer in full in 2025, commemorating the 45th anniversary of that album.
In 2022 the band set foot on German soil for the first time, with shows at the Amphi Festival and in cities such as Cologne, Berlin, Frankfurt and Hamburg.
