About

John Andrews & the Yawns is the project of New Jersey-born multi-instrumentalist and songwriter John Andrews, previously known as keyboardist for Woods and drummer for Quilt. The music sits somewhere between indie folk, psychedelic pop and lo-fi rock, marked by conversational lyrics and a fondness for analog textures. Five albums on Woodsist and Earth Libraries have earned coverage from Stereogum, Uncut and KEXP, among others. Andrews also incorporates hand-painted animation into his live shows.
