Huub van der Lubbe (Amsterdam, 1953) is a Dutch singer, poet and actor who spent more than forty years as the frontman and lyricist of De Dijk, the Amsterdam rock and soul band he co-founded with his brother Hans in 1981. Known for poetic Dutch-language lyrics and a theatrical stage presence, De Dijk became one of the most beloved bands in the Netherlands, with classics such as 'Bloedend Hart', 'Mag Het Licht Uit' and 'Als Ze Er Niet Is'. After De Dijk disbanded in December 2022, Van der Lubbe continued as a solo performer, theatre maker and musical actor - including the title role in De Man van La Mancha (2023).
Van der Lubbe performed as a soloist at the New Year's concerts of Amsterdam Sinfonietta with the program 'Against Time', where he wove his own songs and hits by De Dijk with classical repertoire.
Van der Lubbe performed Jacques Brel's 'Amsterdam' together with Amsterdam Sinfonietta at the Prinsengracht Concert 2025, as a preview of the later New Year's concert collaboration.
