Huub Stapel (born 2 December 1954 in Tegelen) is a Dutch actor best known for his lead roles in Dick Maas's genre films The Lift (1983), Flodder (1986) and Amsterdamned (1988). He trained at the Theatre Academy in Maastricht, graduating with both an acting and a teaching diploma. Alongside his screen work, Stapel is a prolific stage performer and won the Johan Kaart Prize in 2014 for his theatre roles.
Stapel tours through the Netherlands in spring 2026 with his new one-man-show Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus - the inevitable sequel, a follow-up to his earlier theatrical hit from 2010.
