Hans Vandenburg is the frontman, guitarist and songwriter of Gruppo Sportivo, the Den Haag pop band he founded in 1976. Hits such as 'Hey Girl', 'Beep Beep Love' and 'Disco Really Made It' earned the band a devoted following at home and abroad, built on a distinctive blend of new wave, musical humour and Dutch pop. After a hiatus from 2013 to 2018, Vandenburg returned with the critically acclaimed album Great and has kept the band on the road ever since.
