About

French Montana, born Karim Kharbouch in Casablanca in 1984, is a Moroccan-American rapper who grew up in the South Bronx. Built on years of mixtape hustle - most notably the Coke Boys series - his career reached global scale with 'Unforgettable' (2017, feat. Swae Lee), which earned him the first RIAA diamond certification ever awarded to an African-born artist. He is also known for his philanthropic work, having raised over $500,000 to build a hospital in Uganda after filming the 'Unforgettable' video there.
