Fatboi Sharif (Backwoodz Studioz, US) + Gully Guver - Exclusive NL Show
Fatboi Sharif, the experimental hip-hop artist from New Jersey, brings his intense live shows to Arnhem with support from Gully Guver.
Fatboi Sharif is an underground hip-hop artist from Rahway, New Jersey, who bills himself as the 'Garden State Gargoyle'. His music fuses surrealist, abstract lyricism with dark experimental production drawing on noise, jazz and horror cinema, placing him among the most distinctive voices in American underground rap. After breaking through with Gandhi Loves Children (2020, with producer Roper Williams) on the influential Backwoodz Studioz label, he has maintained a prolific run of collaborative albums. His latest record, Crayola Circles (2026, with Child Actor), has been received by critics as a new artistic high point.
Crayola Circles, the collaboration with producer Child Actor, was released on April 24, 2026 via Backwoodz Studioz and was greeted by multiple critics as one of his strongest albums to date.
Stereogum announced Crayola Circles in March 2026 and described Child Actor as a former dream-pop artist who previously produced for Armand Hammer, Open Mike Eagle and Earl Sweatshirt.
In 2025, Fatboi Sharif released four albums: Let Me Out (with Driveby), Endocrine (with GDP), Planet Unfaithful and Goth Girl On The Enterprise (both with Roper Williams).
Bandcamp Daily praised Let Me Out as his first release for the Philadelphia label Deathbomb Arc and called it 'the best articulation of the Fatboi Sharif universe'.
