About
Conway the Machine (born Demond Price, Buffalo, New York, 1982) is an American rapper and co-founder of Griselda Records, the label he built alongside his half-brother Westside Gunn. A near-fatal shooting in 2012 left him with partial facial paralysis - the source of his distinctive vocal delivery - and redirected his focus entirely toward music. Albums such as God Don't Make Mistakes (2022) on Eminem's Shady Records and the December 2025 release You Can't Kill God with Bullets have cemented his standing as one of the most consistent lyricists in contemporary East Coast hip-hop.
