About
Europe is a Swedish hard rock band formed in 1979 in Upplands Väsby, near Stockholm. Their 1986 album 'The Final Countdown' propelled them to global fame, with the title track hitting number one in 25 countries and now approaching 1.4 billion YouTube views. After a hiatus in the 1990s, the band reunited with their classic lineup - Joey Tempest, John Norum, John Levén, Mic Michaeli and Ian Haugland - and are set to release their twelfth studio album in September 2026.

Europe announced in November 2025 the 'The Final Countdown 40th Anniversary Tour' for September and October 2026, with 19 concerts in 12 countries including the Netherlands (Arnhem).

Alongside the tour plans, the band announced that their twelfth studio album will be released in September 2026, recorded in October 2025 at the RMV Studios in Stockholm with producer Tom Dalgety.
