Emma Smith is a British jazz vocalist celebrated for her interpretations of the Great American Songbook. The first jazz singer to receive a scholarship to the Purcell School of Music, she later graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and built her reputation as a resident vocalist with the Ronnie Scott's All Stars and a four-year presenter on BBC Radio 3. Collaborations with Michael Bublé, the Quincy Jones Orchestra and Postmodern Jukebox have broadened her international profile, and in 2024 she won both the Parliamentary Jazz Award for Jazz Vocalist of the Year and the Jools Holland Boisdale Music Award for Jazz Act of the Year. Her album Bitter Orange, released in July 2025 on Brooklyn-based La Reserve Records, marks her US debut as the label's first British signing.

Bitter Orange was released on 18 July 2025 via the Brooklyn-based label La Reserve Records - Smith is the first British artist on the roster.
Smith made her American stage debut on 17 July 2025 at Catalina's Jazz Club in Los Angeles and on 19 July in Palm Springs.
Smith won the Jools Holland Boisdale Music Award for Jazz Act of the Year 2024, alongside nominees such as Ezra Collective, Courtney Pine and Nubya Garcia.
