Ed Wynne (born 3 June 1961) is the founder, guitarist and sole constant member of English space rock band Ozric Tentacles, which he started at the Stonehenge Free Festival in 1983. As composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, he has shaped the band's sound for over four decades - a distinctive blend of psychedelic guitar, synthesizers and electronic grooves. Ozric Tentacles have sold over a million albums worldwide and grown into one of the most influential names in British experimental rock. The current line-up is a family affair: his wife Brandi plays bass and his son Silas Neptune handles keyboards.
Ozric Tentacles announced their 17th studio album Harmonic Mind, scheduled for release on 18 September 2026 via Kscope.
The first single 'Space Platform' from Harmonic Mind was shared as a preview of the new album.
Harmonic Mind was recorded in the band's own studios in Scotland, Devon and Glastonbury, with Silas Neptune as mastering engineer for the first time.
Ozric Tentacles will be on an extensive tour in autumn 2026, with multiple co-headlining shows alongside The Orb.
Ed Wynne released the solo album Tumbling Through The Floativerse, a collaboration with Dutch musician Gre Vanderloo from Gracerooms.
