Dio Alive is a Dutch-fronted tribute band honouring the music of Ronnie James Dio - his solo catalogue as well as his years with Rainbow and Black Sabbath. Founded in 2023, the band is led by vocalist John "Jaycee" Cuijpers, known from Praying Mantis and Ayreon, with guitarist Frank Pané alongside him - a musician who has shared the stage with Ian Paice, Bobby Kimball and Dave Bickler. The line-up is completed by Dominik Stotzem (bass), Tom Wetzels (drums) and Andreas König (keyboards).
Dio Alive will perform in May 2025 at the Meisenfrei in Bremen, one of the band's first major club shows outside their debut series.
The band went on tour for the first time in autumn 2024, with shows in Bonn, Wetzlar and Dortmund, among others.
A live review of the concert at Harmonie Bonn (October 6, 2024) praised the show as a great success and announced a return in 2025.
Dio Alive currently has 15 announced concerts on the agenda, mainly in Germany.
