About
Def Americans is a tribute band from Eindhoven, active since 2007, dedicated entirely to the music of Johnny Cash. Their name references the Cash-Rick Rubin collaboration that transformed the Def Jam label into American Recordings. Over the years they have sold out venues such as Paradiso in Amsterdam and played major festivals including Zwarte Cross and Paaspop; in 2013 Tommy Cash, Johnny's younger brother, personally asked them to back him on his Dutch 'My Brother Johnny' tour. The band now also performs regularly abroad, with shows in Belgium, Germany, Norway and England.

Def Americans announces the new theater tour 'On the Road Again 26-27', with shows throughout the Netherlands until January 2027.
