Bombus are a heavy metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden, active since 2008. The five-piece blends crushing guitar riffs with the raw directness of 1970s punk rock, setting them apart from the melodic death metal their city is famous for. After three albums on Century Media, they signed to Black Lodge Records and released their fifth studio album, Your Blood, in November 2024. Fenriz of Darkthrone once named them his 'Band of the Week', cementing their reputation as one of Scandinavia's most uncompromising heavy acts.
The debut album Bombus (2010) was re-released on 11 September 2026, remastered by Magnus Lindberg and released via Black Lodge Records with updated artwork.
Bombus announced a European tour for March 2027, with performances in Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Bochum and Osnabrück.
Bombus performed at the Sweden Rock Festival 2025 in Norje, Blekinge.
Your Blood, the fifth studio album by Bombus, was released on 1 November 2024 via Black Lodge Records - their first album with that label and the first without co-founder Matte Säker.
After the departure of co-founder Matte Säker, the band expanded to a quintet with three guitarists, which on Your Blood led to more melodic solos and harmonies.
