Batmobile is a Dutch psychobilly band formed in Breda in 1983 by Johnny Zuidhof and Jeroen Haamers, soon joined by Jeroen's brother Eric on double bass. Starting out with rockabilly covers of Elvis and Johnny Burnette, they pushed the tempo with raw punk energy into a tight, no-frills sound of their own. In 1986 they became the first non-British band to play London's legendary Klub Foot. Over forty years on, the original line-up is still touring.
