🎸 Basily Gipsy Band

About

Basily Gipsy Band is a Dutch ensemble made up of members of the Romani Basily family. Starting out in the Hot Club de France tradition, the band gradually forged its own sound by blending gipsy jazz with Balkan, blues and flamenco influences. They have performed at major festivals including North Sea Jazz, the Django Reinhardt Festival in Samois and the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, and have toured Japan, Indonesia and much of Europe. A career highlight was sharing the stage with violinist Stéphane Grappelli at the Circus Theater Scheveningen and the Concertgebouw in Munich.
