Bárbara Wagner & Benjamin de Burca

About

Bárbara Wagner (Brasília, 1980) and Benjamin de Burca (Munich, 1975) have worked together since 2011, making video installations that explore subcultures, music scenes and collective identity. Their method is radically collaborative: script, choreography and soundtrack are developed together with the communities they portray. The duo gained international recognition with Swinguerra, representing Brazil at the 2019 Venice Biennale. Their work is held in major collections including MoMA New York, the Hirshhorn Museum and De Pont Museum in Tilburg.
