Anastacia (born Anastacia Lyn Newkirk, Chicago, 1968) is an American singer-songwriter who describes her style as 'sprock' - a blend of soul, pop and rock. Her debut album *Not That Kind* (2000) launched her to European stardom with 'I'm Outta Love', and her 2004 self-titled album reached number one in twelve countries including the Netherlands. She has sold over 50 million records worldwide and has spoken openly about surviving breast cancer twice.
